Washing
Washing your hair properly is important every week, but it is especially important on your wedding day. Even though the way you wash and dry your hair may not initially seem like a big deal, you can cause yourself unnecessary hair damage if you do it the wrong way.

You don’t want to end up with too much root growth or a color you don’t like the day before your wedding. If you color your hair too close to the actual wedding date (for example, a week or even two out), you run the risk of not liking your hair and then having little time to fix it. If you do your hair too early, highlights or color might start to fade or grow out.

Doing a hair mask once or twice a week can help nourish hair, add shine, and provide smoothness that you might be able to get otherwise. Hair masks are particularly useful because they tend to penetrate the follicle with nourishing ingredients more than your conditioner does when you wash your hair.
There are a variety of hair masks that you can buy, but there are also a lot of different options that simply require regular ingredients that you would probably find in your refrigerator and pantry. You may even be able to concoct your own hair masks based on your hair’s particular needs.
