Camille and Tristan Kippen: Harry Potter Themed Wedding

We are both Harry Potter fans and the inspiration came from Pinterest. We took the test through Pottermore online and both got sorted into Ravenclaw. We decided to use the house colors of Navy and Bronze into our theme along with Silver and Champagne. We worked with several local businesses to help make our vision possible.

Our venue was the Ben Lomand Suites in downtown Ogden and we worked with their Event Coordinator Kristal Blesset. She was extremely flexible and fun to work with and put us at ease throughout the whole process. We chose the Sunlit room for both our ceremony and reception because it resembled the Great Hall in Hogwarts and had beautiful detailing.

We just received our wedding photos back from Emily Bourne at Natural Bourne Photography who also did our engagements. Her quality of work, creativity, enthusiasm and personality were all excellent and were really shown through the final product. She brought her own magic to the entire experience and never held back to get the perfect shot. Her quality of work far surpassed her pricing and we would definitely recommend her for future events.

Catering was provided by Passion Flour in Salt Lake City by the owner Jessica Davies. We chose this because it is all vegan and the French pastries tied in with the theme very well. The cake turned out gorgeous and tasted amazing. Jessica was wonderful and put in a lot of beautiful work and detailing in everything that she made. Everyone commented about how good the food was and was surprised that it was all vegan.

Most of the décor was handmade by us and family members. We found potion labels on Amazon for the bottles and modge podged scrapbook paper on old books to give it a fun and classy look. We collected owls and candles and used our Harry Potter collection to tie everything in. We also had a unity ceremony and customized the Vase through Things Remembered online. Everyone and everything involved made the day of the wedding a Night to Remember. We couldn’t have asked for anything more on our wedding day.
