Many modern brides are looking for the next best thing when it comes to capturing their wedding. To the best photographers, technology and areal shots with a drone and who doesn’t love a wedding video?

Whether it’s a month after your celebration or on your 10-year anniversary, there’s no better way to revisit key moments of your day. And with the huge range of videography styles available—from documentary and cinematic to same-day edit or music video—there are more choices than ever. But what if you could actually have a front row seat at your ceremony, spin in the middle of the dance floor at the reception or feel like you’re standing next to your dad as he gives his speech all over again?

Thanks to the latest advancements in technology, couples can do just that—in 360-degree with a virtual reality wedding video. Virtual reality hit the entertainment mainstream in 2016, as Sony, Samsung, and Google all launched personal VR headsets. And now the trend is spilling over into weddings, and one team in Utah is making this trend more of a reality.

Ryan Burningham, the owner of the VR arcade Virtualities, located in Salt Lake City and Layton, saw the opportunity to add a little more magic in reliving your wedding day.

“Weddings are magical and special and while photographs and videos can be amazing, you only see what the camera sees in one direction. . . 360 video is more a memory or a time capsule. You have that feeling of presence and immersion as if you were back as a guest at your own wedding.”

He and his team are on a mission to make that moment even more special and transport you back and capture all the moments you would miss with photos or videography, like Grandma’s shock at the garter toss, to your Dad weeping at the sight of his baby girl in a white gown, to everyone expressions during the first dance as Mr. and Mrs.

With this new and upcoming trend at weddings in California, Texas and backEast, you better believe this is a way you want to relive this happy moment here in Utah

“It’s the next evolution in technology and as it improves, I believe we will capture the majority of all our special moments in life with a 360 capture method”
